Learning the game at Greenland IT
Started as Business Development Manager — finding clients, building relationships, learning what online marketing actually means when the stakes are real. Three and a half years of talking to clients all day gave me something no course can: an instinct for what businesses actually need from search.
Building a freelance reputation from zero
Joined Upwork (then oDesk) in 2008 and Freelancer.com the same year. Did the work nobody glamorises — data entry, citation building, keyword spreadsheets — and used every project to study what actually moved rankings. Over 90 Upwork jobs, 4,100+ hours billed, and 384 reviews at 4.8★ later, the reputation speaks for itself.
